This Cookie Policy explains how Bitumax ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our corporate website (the "Website"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your personal information more generally.

What are cookies? Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — such as pixels, tags, local storage, and software development kits — perform comparable functions. Together they allow a website to recognise your device, remember your preferences, keep the site secure, and understand how the site is used.

  • Categories of cookies we use:
    • Strictly necessary: Required for the Website to function and to keep it secure. This includes bot and spam protection on our enquiry forms. We cannot switch these off.
    • Analytics and performance: Help us understand how visitors find and use the Website so we can improve it. These are only set with your consent where required by law.
    • Marketing and advertising: Used to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and, where applicable, to show relevant content. These are only set with your consent.
  • Third-party services we rely on:
    • Google Analytics 4 (GA4): An analytics service provided by Google that reports on Website traffic and usage using first-party cookies and identifiers. Purpose: measurement and site improvement. Typical retention: up to 2 years, though we configure shorter data-retention windows where possible.
    • Meta Pixel: A measurement and advertising technology provided by Meta (Facebook) that helps us understand the performance of our marketing. Purpose: campaign measurement and audience insights. Typical retention: up to 90 days for cookie identifiers.
    • Microsoft Clarity: A product-analytics tool provided by Microsoft that produces aggregated heatmaps and session insights to help us improve usability. Purpose: performance and usability analysis. Typical retention: up to 1 year.
    • Cloudflare Turnstile: A privacy-focused bot and abuse-prevention service provided by Cloudflare, used on our enquiry forms in place of a traditional CAPTCHA. Purpose: security and fraud prevention (strictly necessary). Retention: session-based or short-lived tokens.

Legal basis and consent: Where required by applicable law, we set non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing) only after you have given consent. Strictly necessary cookies, including security protection, are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a safe and functional Website. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time using the methods described below.

How to manage or opt out of cookies: Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Blocking all cookies may affect how parts of the Website work. You can also control specific services directly:

    • Browser controls:Adjust cookie settings in your browser and use its "Do Not Track" or private-browsing modes.
    • Google Analytics: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or manage ad personalisation in your Google account settings.
    • Meta: Manage advertising preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
    • Microsoft Clarity: Clarity honours global browser privacy signals; you can also clear cookies to reset its identifiers.

Changes to this Cookie Policy: We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or for legal or regulatory reasons. The most current version will always be available on the Website.
